Tarot Tuesday #5 - The Moon - The Pen Tarot

The Moon - The Pen Tarot
Artist: Penelope Cline
Publisher: Fig Tree Press

About the Deck:
The Pen Tarot is deliciously illustrated in one of my favorite mediums - a .5 Pilot pen and ink, with watered ink wash to add color where needed. I've quite fallen in love with the artwork and the imagery presented by Cline to represent the 22 Trumps of the Major Arcana. It's published by Fig Tree Press of the UK in a limited edition of 100 decks and can be purchased directly from the Fig Tree Press website.

The images are unusual and non-traditional, but definitely recognizable. In fact, the word evocative may have been coined to describe this beautiful deck. Do take the time to visit the web site, which shows images of all 22 Tarot trumps.

  1. Ooooh... gorgeous. Pen and ink is one of my favorite media. ( I love doing black/grey tattoo work, too!) Oh my the whole major arcana is simply luscious! The use of the cameo color in the black and grey... stunning!
